 Advanced Diving Course in Phuket
The PADI Advanced Course in Phuket takes just two days to complete with five dives. But, at Super Divers we’ll give you an extra complimentary dive so you can have a fun dive at the end of day two! There is no theory or end of course exam with the PADI Advanced course. However, it is compulsory for students to make a deep dive and navigation dive and choose three more of the PADI Adventure dives to complete the course.
Furthermore, where better is there than the warm alluring water of the Andaman Sea surrounding the beautiful Island of Phuket to complete your advanced scuba diving certification? Students taking the PADI Advanced Open Water in Phuket with Super Divers will usually spend one day diving at Koh Phi Phi Islands, with the second day spent diving at Racha Noi and Yai or, diving the King Cruiser Wreck day trip which includes diving at Shark Point and Anemone Reef, both of which showcase some of the best scuba diving Phuket has to offer.
About the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course
As you can imagine, the PADI Advanced Course is conducted entirely on the dive boat and it’s designed to be lots of fun. Also, unlike the PADI Open Water Course, the advanced course has no exams or theory lessons. For each of the five PADI Advanced Course dives, students need to complete a quick knowledge review which can be done during surface intervals on the boat.
Ultimately, the advanced course certified divers to dive to a depth of 30 meters. This allows them to experience and explore deeper areas of some dive sites and maybe encounter different and exciting marine life which is found below 18 meters. Student can choose three suitable adventure dives as part of their course. The possibilities include underwater digital photography, a wreck dive, underwater naturalist, peak performance buoyancy, drift dive and more.

Please note, we advise to book early as many of our PADI Open Water students decide to go on to complete their PADI Advanced Course with us straight after their course has finished, and at busy times of the season we can be fully booked in advance.
PADI Advanced Course Information
We start PADI Advanced Open Water Courses in Phuket daily throughout the year. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Rather than overbook, which lowers quality, we stop taking new bookings when we’re fully booked.
Both days of the course are conducted from the dive boat. Hotel pick-ups start at 7:00 am, and guests return to their hotels between 5:30 pm and 7:00pm.
Students will be certified as PADI Advanced divers after completing the five advanced open water training dives. The complimentary additional sixth dive is just for fun and enjoyment.
Participants should already be certified as PADI Open Water divers or equivalent. Minimum age is 12 years old (Junior Advanced Open Water – Certified to max depth of 21m until 15 years old when changes to 30m). Students will need to complete and sign the PADI medical statement before starting their course. (You can view the PADI Medical Statement below).
Diver safety is one of our top priorities. Our experienced PADI instructors afford our PADI advanced students freedom and independence, while encouraging them to dive carefully and responsibly. Your instructor will always alert and close by with you during the dives to offer assistance if needed. Also, we replace our equipment regularly so it’s in excellent condition.
Non-divers / snorkelers are welcome to join their scuba diving partners or friends on the boat for the day. We charge 2,500 THB for non-divers or snorkelers. We have the best refund and cancellation policy we are aware of in the dive industry in Phuket. We offer full refunds for cancellations received before 5:00 pm the evening before a scuba diving course commences.
PADI Medical Statement
Participants will need to read and sign the PADI Medical Statement when they start their course with us in Phuket. You can view or download the statement here.

Price Includes
- Dive insurance throughout the course.
- Six dives instead of just five dives at the best dive locations.
- PADI materials & the PADI certification fee (around 2,000 THB & often a hidden extra elsewhere).
- Scuba diving equipment including dive computers if needed during the course.
- Complimentary return transfers from Kamala, Patong, Karon, Kata, & parts of Rawai, Nai Harn & Chalong on days two and three (from other areas additional charges may apply).
- Breakfast, lunch, snacks and refreshments on the dive boat.
- No surcharge for credit or debit card payments.
- A friendly team with patient, adaptable & experienced Instructors.

Price Excludes
- Boat transfers from areas outside the complimentary pick-up areas. (We can though arrange private transfers at cost price).
- Phi Phi National Marine Park fees which are 600 THB per diver are sometimes collected by the park police on the dive boat. Guests need to pay these in cash directly to the police on the boat please.
- Underwater photos and video are from dive staff on the boat as an optional extra, usually for 1,000 THB. Please note, this is not a Super Divers service, but a service provided from the dive staff on the boat as a way to make a little extra beer money.
