You must be at least 18 years old.
To start the PADI Divemaster course in Phuket with Super Divers you must be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver and have a minimum of 40 logged dives. To become a PADI Instructor you’ll need 60 logged dives to begin the PADI Instructor Development Course (PADI IDC), and at least 100 logged dives to sit the PADI Instructor Exam (PADI IE).
You should be in good general health. If you have medical issues, or have had any medical conditions in the past, which could affect your ability to scuba dive safely, you need to get yourself checked out by a doctor and obtain a medical statement declaring that you are fit and healthy to dive.
You need to be able to swim at least 800 metres, as there are several swim tests conducted as part of the PADI Divemaster training course, which precedes the Instructor Development Course (IDC)
There must be minimum time period of six months between the date you are certified for your PADI Open Water Course and the date your Instructor Examination (IE) begins. For example: If you finish your Open Water Course on 21/01/2016, you cannot start the IE part of your IDC before 21/07/2016. This is a PADI requirement.
There are no time stipulations involving other courses.
It doesn’t matter where you are on the PADI ladder at present. We can put together a PADI Go Pro, Phuket career package that will be tailored especially for your needs and requirements, taking into account where you are up to in your dive experience to date and where you would like to be.
