Similan Explorer Similans liveaboard caters to Thailand scuba diving enthusiasts who are looking for a cheap Similans liveaboard in the budget market. Similan Explorer might have a cheap price, but she offers excellent value for money to scuba divers more concerned about the excellent Similan Islands scuba diving itinerary, than they are about having a private en-suite bathroom, or about the dazzling bright turquoise paint jobs inside the cabins.

Similan Explorer offers three or five night Similans liveaboard dive trips, with diving around the Similan Islands, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, and Richelieu Rock. All cabins have air-con and have windows with sea views, and the four quad share cabins have curtains for each bunk offering a degree of privacy. There are also two twin bed cabins, and an additional two double bed cabins on the upper deck.

The boat is spacious enough to find a peaceful area to relax between dives, and there are hammocks and sun chairs on the partially shaded sun-deck at the rear of the boat. Similan Explorer liveaboard has a communal dining area where tasty meals are served, and snacks and other goodies are always available. Guests share three bathrooms, which have toilets and showers, and there are two additional showers available. Guests need to meet at the dive centre in Khao Lak for 3:00pm on departure day, and the Similan Explorer liveaboard trip departs in time to catch the sunset on the cruise to the Similan Islands dive sites.

IMPORTANT: While other agents might claim they won’t charge you extra for credit card payments, they fail to mention that this ONLY applies to the small deposit payment you pay them for your trip, and that when you pay the balance for your trip direct to the operator, you WILL be charged up to 5% extra if you pay the balance by credit card.

We think this sucks and is misleading, so, if you book through us, we can guarantee you’ll pay a 0% surcharge (That’s right, NO SURCHARGE!) on your entire trip balance, not just your deposit payment.card.
